All views can be amended and further refined by clicking on the chart on the Overview page, or selecting the relevant Analysis or Refine options from the menu on the left-hand side.
It s also possible to export the information by clicking on the"Export" icon at the bottom of each view.
Application Trend
This box enables you to view the trends in applications from patents imported into this section. The standard view is a simple application year by total-instance chart.
The application year range can be modified within the options section located on the right-hand-side of the graph. You can also change the specific data view by selecting any of the icons below the graph.
Data can be viewed as a table, a horizontal or vertical bar chart, pie chart, or tile view.
Top IPC
This tile view easily enables you to confirm the most prevalent IPCs for the patent range selected. A more detailed view can be shown by clicking on the white part of the box located in the Overview page. You can further view a list of patents for a specific IPC by clicking directly into the correct IPC tile:
Top Current Assignees
This box allows you to confirm the top current assignees for the patent range selected. Further details can be found by clicking on the bar itself or into the relevant options section on the right-hand side.
Top Authorities
This view groups patents by the authority in which they were filed in. It produces a bar chart view of these jurisdictions.
Top CPC
This tile view easily enables you to confirm the most prevalent CPCs for the patent range selected. A more detailed view can be shown by clicking on the white part of the box located in the Overview page. You can further view a list of patents for a specific CPC by clicking directly into the correct CPC tile:
Patent Type
This pie chart provides you with a quick visual reference on the patent types of the patents selected. As with other sections, further refinement, data views and exporting can be found in the areas highlighted in the screenshot below:

This graph shows you the Current Assignee Name for the patents selected by Application Year.

This view allows you to see the numbers of patents published by jurisdiction over the current assignee names.
IPC Distribution of Current Assignees
This view shows you the distribution of IPCs by current assignee. This comparative view helps to ascertain who is concentrating their patents in specific technology areas.
Top Standardized Current Assignees
This view is similar to the Top Current Assignees view listed above but works for standardized assignee names.
Application Trend of Standardized Assignees
This graph shows you the Standardized Current Assignee Name for the patents selected by Application Year.

This data view is a graph showing you the Current Assignee Name for the patents selected by Publication Year.

This view breaks down the patents by their type (whether they are standard (utility) patents, design patents, or utility models) and groups them in a chart based on numbers and Current Assignee Name.

IPC/CPC/UPC/LOC Distribution of Inventors
This view shows you the distribution of various classification types by patent inventor. This comparative view helps in ascertaining which inventors are concentrating their innovation in specific technology areas.

These tile views allow you to see the top classifications, similar to the Top IPC/UPC/LOC/CPC view as used in the standard Overview.
Current Assignees Comparison by IPC/CPC
You can view a comparison of current assignees defined by the specific IPC/CPCs used in their patents. The IPC/CPC sub-grouping is shown by default, but this can be changed to other levels in the section to the right hand side of the graph.
Inventors Comparison by IPC
This section allows you to view a comparison of inventors by the specific IPC/CPCs used in their patents. As with the Assignee Comparison by IPC/CPC graphs, the classification sub-grouping is shown by default and this can be changed to other levels in the section to the right-hand side of the graph.
Application Trend of IPC/UPC/LOC
These views allow you to see the application numbers based on the various classifications listed.
Standardized Current Assignees Comparison by IPC/CPC
This is similar to the Standardized Current Assignee comparison by IPC/CPC section above. You can view a comparison of standardized current assignees defined by the specific IPC or CPCs used in their patents. The IPC or CPC sub-grouping is shown by default, but this can be changed to other levels in the section to the right-hand side of the graph.
Authority
Application/Publication Trend of Current Assignee Regions
These two views plot the number of applications or publication by the countries in which the current assignee is based in. The country list can be amended on the right-hand side of the page.
Top Current Assignee Regions
This view shows you the top countries in which the current assignee of the patents is based in.
Agency
Top Agencies/Agents
This view allows you to see a top-down view of agencies for the range of patents.
Application Trend of Agency/Agent
This graph plots the Agency or Agent Name by the number of patents applied for through them.
Patent Type of Agency/Agent
This view enables you to see which agencies or agents handle the three different patent types (standard (utility) patent, design patent or utility model).
IPC Distribution by Agency/Agent
This distribution graph shows you the distribution of different IPCs by the specific agency or agent who handled the patent application process.
Legal Status
These pie charts allow you to see a breakdown of the simple legal status (active, inactive or pending) or the patent type (standard (utility) patent, design patent or utility model) for easy analysis of these criteria.
Custom Analysis
This section allows you to create your own graphs, tables, or charts based on a variety of different criteria as laid out in the two drop-down menus you will be presented with.
