The sequence listing information can be found on the sequence detail page of the Bio platform and is information extracted from sequence listing files. Please note that this information will not be available for all the patents in the database.
The information is intended to help users quickly obtain sequence descriptions from sequence lists in patents. This description provides reliable sequence information and background information about the related sequences, allowing the user to run their analysis or better understand this sequence with more information. The user can also save time by knowing more about the sequences and deciding whether they are relevant without having to dive into the patent document. Currently, this data is processed only from US and EP sequence listing files.
The different numerical codes stand for the following:
[212] – Type (Type of molecule sequenced in SEQ ID NO: x, either DNA, RNA or PRT)
[213] – Organism (“Genus Species” (scientific name) or “Artificial Sequence” or “Unknown”)
[221] – Name/Key for the sequence (CDS, primer_bind, etc.)
[222] – Location of the sequence
[223] – Other Information
