Throughout June we've mainly been working on technical optimization and data quality improvements. We've also added many general improvements in Discovery, check out the updates below:
Interactive charts on the Overview page
The charts on the Overview page are now interactive. This is so that you can dive deeper into the analytics and view the data records for a specific year that is related to your search.
Example one: To view the VC data related to your search for the year 2018, click on the blue bar as shown below.
This will take you to a data list page where you can dive deeper and further filter down your results.
Example two: To view the news data related to your search for the year 2019, click on the circular point on the line graph as shown below.
Sort by "Relevancy" as default
The data points News, Companies and Universities have now been set to default to the sort by option "Relevancy", this is to bring you the most relevant results related to your search.
Note: the option to sort by "Relevancy" is available for the data points: News, Companies, Universities, Market Reports, VC Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions, Papers, Patents, Clinical Trials, Technology Offering, Research Funding, Grants.
Search Tips helper updated
We've added a 'Learn More' link to the help center articles on searching in Discovery and reduced the copy down so that you can view the important search operations in one dialog box.
We've also added the button 'Search Tips' in the top right corner of the search dialog box for those that have hidden the tips or would like to view them mid-search.
