First Posted Date and Obsolete Identifiers
Comparing and tracking clinical trials is an important step in evaluating the evidence base and making informed decisions about medical interventions. Users need to ensure that any comparisons are based on valid and reliable data. Therefore, we have added a 'First Posted Date' field, which serves as a reference point for determining the duration of a trial, assessing whether it is on schedule, and comparing the timelines of different trials.
Obsolete Identifiers have also been added to the Identifier field, which allows for tracking of any changes to the identifiers. This helps to ensure that results from the same trial are not reported multiple times in different places, which can cause confusion or misinterpretation.
