Using the Formulation Agent in Eureka The Formulation Agent in Eureka helps you quickly develop, refine, and optimise formulations with AI-driven insights and detailed outputs. If you want to learn how to quickly build effective prompts, review and adjust formulation results, and share your work with your team, this is the video for you!

  • Welcome to the video on the formulation agent within Eureka.

    Navigate to the materials tab below the center box on the screen.

    Click on 'formulation' to open a new tab.
  • The formulation agent is designed for:

    Developing new formulations.

    Reformulating existing formulations in-house.

    Creating new synthesis protocols.
  • Start with a clear direction (Formulation, Reformulation, or Synthesis Protocol).

    Example: "Develop a ceramide-based cream."

    Specify the context:

    Example: "For dry and compromised skin that should not leave a greasy finish."

    Add Additional constraints or properties to meet:

    Example: "25% TWR reduction within two hours."
  • For reformulation workflows, upload previous formulations:

    Click the plus button on the left-hand side to upload Excel documents.
  • After building your prompt, press the button on the right-hand side to start the process.
  • The output will display in a split-screen view:

    Left side: High-level summary of the thought process.

    Right side: More detailed information.
  • Access the extraction report to understand AI's insights:

    Executive summary of the technology area.

    Current challenges and state-of-the-art technologies.

    Extraction summary detailing formulation basis and guardrails.
  • Review formulation candidates:

    Ingredients, their functions, and concentrations.

    Detailed manufacturing process.

    Summary tab with notes on testing and validation.
  • Click on the AI refine button to make adjustments:

    Edit concentrations (e.g., increase ceramide content).

    Lock specific ingredients to remain unchanged.

    Add additional refinements for properties.
  • If satisfied with the formulation:

    Press the export button to download.

    Use the share button to send a link or email to colleagues, regardless of their Patsnap license status.
