Invention Disclosure

The Invention Disclosure Agent within Eureka helps R&D teams create high-quality, standardized invention disclosures quickly. This video demonstrates how to generate a disclosure from a technical idea, review the AI's interpretation, refine and optimize individual sections, and export the final document. By combining AI-generated content with human review, the agent streamlines the documentation process, improves consistency, and helps accelerate the journey from innovation to patent-ready disclosures.

  • Writing invention disclosures from scratch is time-consuming and often delayed.

This can reduce time available for actual R&D and innovation work.

It also creates inconsistent communication because disclosures may vary in structure and quality.

The Invention Disclosure Agent was built to solve this by producing high-quality, standardized disclosures faster.
  • In Eureka, go to the Engineering section.

    Select Invention Disclosure.

This opens the agent in a new page with an input window for your idea.
  • Add your technical idea into the input field.

If you need guidance, click the (i) info button at the top of the screen.

The best input includes three key parts:

    Technical background

    Technical means

    Technical effect

Providing these three elements helps the agent generate a more complete and higher-quality disclosure.
  • Click Start Generating.

Wait for the draft to be created.

The output will appear in a structured layout with:

A contents/outline panel on the left

The main text in the center

An interpretation summary on the right
  • Use the interpretation summary to confirm the AI understood your input correctly.

Check that the summary reflects the key mechanism, outcome, and other important details.

Review the completeness indicator at the bottom to see whether your input covered the needed context.

If the input was structured around background, means, and effect, the output should be more comprehensive.
  • Use the left-hand contents panel to move through the disclosure sections.

    Typical sections include:

    Prior art

    Objectives and invention

    Technical solution

This gives you a strong starting structure for the disclosure.
  • Open a section such as Prior art to review its content.

If a section is not needed, hide it using the eye icon.

You can bring it back later by clicking the eye icon again.

You can also manually edit the text directly:

    Remove irrelevant sentences

    Adjust wording

Refine the section before submitting changes
  • If a section needs improvement, click AI optimization.

    Choose from options such as:

    Improve writing style

    Make it shorter

    Make it longer

    Expand the description

Review the AI-generated rewrite before applying it.

When satisfied, click Replace to update the section.
  • Once the disclosure is edited and ready, click Export at the top of the page.

The system exports the disclosure as a Word document.

Share the document with colleagues or use it in your invention disclosure workflow.
  • The agent reduces time spent writing disclosures.

It improves consistency and standardization across disclosures.

It helps teams move faster from idea to innovation.
