Workspace Transfer
This video walks through how to transfer a workspace to another user in Patsnap, covering both individual and bulk scenarios. You'll learn how to initiate a transfer from the workspace home page, choose which metadata—such as comments, email alerts, and custom fields—to carry over, and understand that the workspace moves entirely to the new owner rather than being duplicated.
-
1. Open the Workspace Transfer option [0:30]
- From the Workspace Home page, locate the workspace you want to move.
- In the Action column on the far right, click the three-dot menu.
- Select Transfer from the menu.
-
2. Choose the transfer destination [0:52]
- A transfer window will open.
- By default, Other members of the company is selected.
- Enter the name of the colleague who should receive the workspace.
- Let the system identify and confirm the correct account.
-
3. Select what metadata to transfer [1:17]
- Decide whether to transfer any associated metadata along with the workspace.

- Custom fields and their values
- Review your selections carefully before continuing.
-
4. Confirm the transfer behavior [1:25]
- Understand that transferring a workspace moves it to the new account.
- The workspace is removed from the original account and not duplicated.
- Double-check the destination user and metadata selections before completing the transfer.
-
5. Use the Company Workspace option if needed [1:49]
- A second option is available: Company Workspace.
- This lets you convert a personal workspace into a company workspace.
- Associated metadata can be carried over as part of the conversion.
-
6. Request help for bulk transfers [2:04]
- Individual workspace transfers can be completed one at a time.
- If you need to transfer many workspaces in bulk, contact the Patsnap team for assistance.
