  • Starting your patent search can be overwhelming because there are many possible starting points and lots of manual digging.

    Hiro Mode is designed to simplify that process of getting started by giving you:

    High-level insights

    Portfolio deep dives

    Search-term inspiration

    More guided patent discovery support

    It is meant to help you get to useful answers faster.
  • Click the Hiro Mode entry point in the top-right area of the screen.

    Review the example use cases shown below the search area.

    Hiro Mode can support tasks like:

    Technology roadmaps

    Competitive analysis

    Researching a technology trend

    Finding specific technology

    Comparing claim differences across a patent family
  • Type your query into the central input box.

    Click the search action on the right-hand side to begin.

    This starts the Hiro Mode workflow and generates the analysis output.
  • To access your Recent History pane, open the left sidebar.

    Go to Recent History.

    Select a previously loaded prompt.

    This is useful when you want to quickly review a prior search result.
  • The output is designed to be transparent.

    At the top of the page, you can inspect the logic used to generate the result.

    You can expand the thought process to see how Hiro Mode:

    Identified search terms related to your topic of choice

    Identified relevant IPC subclasses

    Isolated assignees of interest

    Determined their technology direction

    This helps you understand how the results were assembled.
  • Hiro Mode does not just return a text list of patents.

    It also provides visualizations that make the results easier to interpret.

    Examples shown include:

    Top 10 filers in the space

    Technology directions they are taking

    More detailed breakdowns of key technology directions

    Scroll down to dig deeper into the analysis.
  • You can continue the conversation with a follow-up prompt.

    Follow-up prompts use more credits than a standalone chat.

    This is useful when you want to narrow the scope or explore a new angle based on the initial result.
  • To monitor usage, go to the bottom-left corner and click the settings icon.

    There you can see:

    How many credits you have used this month

    Information about how credits are consumed

    You can also change the output language from this settings area.
  • Click the share button in the top-right corner.

    Copy a link to share the result publicly.

    This makes it easy to align your team around the same insights and findings.
  • Hiro Mode is meant to give you quicker access to data, insights, and inspiration.

    It helps reduce manual effort in gaining visibility into the patent landscape.
